About us... hmmm!
You would not even be looking at this website if it had not been for our family members instilling the love of horses for my husband and I from an early age. The appaloosa bug was definitely given to me by my mom. She had several appaloosas that I can remember, including a huge, gentle mare named Ace's Speedy Pat. As a mother myself now, I have come to realize just how good of a horse she was, as my mother would allow me to climb aboard her bareback, and rest peacefully on her as she grazed in the field . Many of those same childhood dreams are part of what you will witness on these pages. I want to raise that same type of family horse. A horse that is aware of its surroundings, but is so willing to babysit a person, young or old.
My husband's love of horses stemmed from his aunt. She always included him on countless trail rides with a variety of horses, though her patriach mare, was a grade appaloosa. She still takes that mare on those same trails today in her mid-twenties. Hence, another quality we aim for with our program is a horse with longevity of use, no matter what discipline their owner chooses.
We are by no means experts in any field. However, we have our ideals, which include our belief that a foundation appaloosa is a level-headed, using horse that is capable of endless tasks. We are striving for excellent conformation, disposition, and we do love the dark-based, large blanket colored horse.
We are continually looking for quality foundation-bred Appaloosas mares with attributes that reflect Rippling Rock Ranch's breeding goals.
The only missing link is the the horse owner. He/she is a critical piece to the puzzle. We feel our stallion, mares, and foals will help "work out" the kinks to make the puzzle fit together well. Are you the missing puzzle piece? Maybe our stallion, Tuff Built Legacy, can help you make it all fit together. Please stop by to take a look! |
